Our EFL and LED are both new generation green lighting
sources; their advantages on environmental protection
and energy saving greatly surpass traditional lightings.
However, LED’s actual usage, include maintenance,
optoelectronic index, functioning index and prices have
obvious issues. The reasons are as follows:
1.
The price of LED is very high; the heat dissipation
problem has not been solved; high lighting failure rate;
low life expectancy
The main issue is about heat dissipation; the longer the
usage, the faster the aging rate.
Our EFL bulb and its ballast are designed separately,
thus increase heat dissipation. Basically light failure
problem is minimized, along with more than 60,000 hours
life and reasonable price.
Under the same luminous flux, after 60,000 hours our EFL
has around 70% of luminous rate, while LED has less than
50% of luminous rate after 10,000 hours.
2. LED’s luminous per watt is not very high
LED uses spot lighting; the luminous rate is <65Lm/W.
While most LED light implement multiple spot lightings
to increase luminous rate, it creates another problem,
and that is high glare rate.
Our EFL applies area lighting; the light is evenly
distributed.
3. LED has lower color rendering rate
Visual despair often results from LED.
Ours working frequency is at 2.65MHZ with no flashing;
Ra is greater or equal to 80, which is near sun light
and a very good color rendering source.
4. LED is composed of multiple units, and the light is
not focused
Even though LED implements light-focusing adjustment,
its lighting distance is only a few meters. LED is main
focus is for smaller lightings (such as traffic lights).
Its function cannot completely replace incandescent
lamp.
5. LED’s own design flaws
The reflection mirror and optical lens coordination
error result in “yellow circle” problem, so called
“light spot” effect. SKYLITE-SOLAR EFL has no such
issue.
6. LED’s installation process is more complex
LED’s connection and housing placement are more
problematic, while EFL uses module structures, which is
easier to install that greatly reduced labour and
replacement costs.
